End of tenancy cleaning in Wellington

Move-out cleans are where details get argued over. We work through the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, and the spots property managers actually look at, so the place is ready to hand back.

A properly scoped service

What to expect from end of tenancy cleaning

An end-of-tenancy clean is a handover job, not a quick domestic tidy. The property needs to be empty enough to reach the edges, cupboards, skirting, fittings, and areas normally hidden by furniture. We quote against the property, its condition, and the deadline rather than promising a generic package.

Property managers and landlords can have different expectations, so send us the inspection checklist when one is available. We will identify optional work—such as carpet steam cleaning, wall washing, exterior glass, or rubbish removal—before the booking instead of leaving surprises for handover day.

A handover, written down

What the quote names before keys go back.

These are real DSkip results. Kitchens, ovens, and cupboards are where a handover is judged. The note beside them is an example of how the scope is written, so the inspection list and the quote match.

Our process

Clear from first message to final check.

01

Share the handover details

Send the address, property size, move-out date, inspection deadline, and any agent checklist or photos.

02

Confirm the scope

We define the kitchen, oven, bathrooms, cupboards, windows, floors, and any separate carpet or exterior work.

03

Clean the empty property

The team works systematically once belongings and moving activity are out of the way.

04

Review before handover

Where timing allows, the result can be checked before keys are returned so concerns are raised promptly.

Scope

What shapes the visit

The visit follows the property. These are the details that most often change the time, equipment, or team required.

  • Property size, number of rooms, bathrooms, and storeys
  • Whether the home is empty and utilities are still connected
  • Grease, soap scale, wall marks, pet hair, and general buildup
  • Oven, carpet, window, garage, balcony, or exterior requirements

Before we arrive

How to prepare

A little preparation protects your property and lets the booked time go toward cleaning rather than access or setup.

  1. 1Remove belongings, food, rubbish, and moving boxes before the clean begins.
  2. 2Keep electricity and hot water connected and provide reliable access.
  3. 3Send the property manager's checklist and identify any existing damage.

Common questions

Before you book.

Specific requirements will be confirmed in your quote. These answers cover the questions we hear most often.

Does an end-of-tenancy clean guarantee my bond?

No cleaner can control every bond decision or pre-existing damage. We clean to the agreed scope and recommend sharing the agent's checklist before quoting.

Can you clean the oven and carpets too?

Yes, when they are included in the quote. Oven detailing and carpet steam cleaning require extra time and should be booked before handover day.

When should the clean happen?

After furniture and belongings are removed, but before the final inspection. Avoid scheduling movers and cleaners in the property at the same time.

Can landlords or property managers book directly?

Yes. Provide access, the required standard, invoicing details, and a contact who can answer questions about the property.
